NSW Land Access Arbitration

The Minister for Resources and Energy Anthony Roberts has announced an independent examination of the arbitration process across the State of NSW in relation to land access agreements. The NSW Government has appointed Bret Walker SC as the legal counsel to oversee the analysis over the next 12 weeks. IAMA has been requested to make a submission by 23 May 2014.  IAMA has been invited to participate in a targeted consultation planned for 9 May 2014.   Members are requested to provide their input to the Terms of Reference to NSW Chapter Administrator, Ros Hunter, as soon as possible: nsw.chapter@iama.org.au

Qld Certificate in Adjudication Course

Qld May CPD Seminar

The Queensland Chapter May CPD Seminar was hosted by corporate member Corrs Chambers Westgarth Lawyers.  Members and guests were treated to presentations by the highly regarded Shane Doyle QC and Dr Therese Wilson on the topic of arbitration. 
The event held in conjunction with AFIA, drew a large audience. Our thanks to Ashley Hill for sourcing the speakers and to Corrs Chambers Westgarth Lawyers for their excellent hospitality.

2014 ARCA Postgraduate Certificate Program in Art Crime and Cultural Heritage Protection


The Association for Research into Crimes against Art (ARCA) is running its annual Postgraduate Certificate Program in Art Crime and Cultural Heritage Protection, in Amelia, Umbria, Italy.
