Salvation Army Kettle Campaign

This has been a challenging year for everyone and a disastrous year for many.   We expect the need for help will be even larger in the new year so this year’s Kettle Campaign is very important.    The funds raised in the Kettle Campaign will stay in the community to provide much needed support for those in need.  So YES, we are ringing bells again this year at the main doors of Walmart.

We are following Covid-19 Safety precautions by requiring everyone to wear a mask, providing gloves, sanitizing wipes, and hand sanitizer.  Portable  shields have been built that ringers can stand behind.  So we are ready….now all we need are ringers.

Spirit of Joy is scheduled to ring on Friday, December 18th, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Home & Pharmacy doors of Walmart.  We will need 2 ringers per shift, one person for each kettle. You can work a one or two hour shift.

Contact Jennifer Ehlers with the times you would like to ring….830-305-1352 or

Jason and Pamela have a GoFundMe account set up. Please visit the site to assist in their recovery process. We are also accepting monetary donations through the church office.Make your contribution to Spirit of Joy with the Bonds name in the remarks.

Thank you so much for your generosity!!!

Women of the ELCA | St. Peter Lutheran Church

Spirit of Joy WELCA will recognize Thankoffering Sunday on November 20, 2020.  A short homily will be spoken and prayers given at this service.  Thankoffering envelopes will be delivered to all WELCA Circle Attendees and are also available at the church office.  You need not have an envelope to make a donation.  Simply write a check with the WELCA notation at the bottom and send into the church office.  Due to COVID-19, we are all unable to meet collectively but we can recognize this Sunday as very important in the life of our congregation.  WELCA members (all members of the church) do very important work in the name of Christ's ministry and we welcome the opportunity to share this special time. We will collect all Thankofferings through Advent. Thank you.
