Rise for Climate, Jobs and Justice - Dublin

GEAI was present at the event "Rise for Climate, Jobs and Justice" organised by Stop Climate Chaos in Buswells Hotel, Dublin, on December 5th.

We asked TDs to consider fair payment for small-scale renewable energy generation, to support the Micro-generation Bill and sustainable forestry and to think about how Northern and Western Region could become a leader in Climate Change and a renewable powerhouse for Ireland.

We had great discussions with many TDs at this event including Tony McLoughlin from Sligo-Leitrim (in photo) and Caoimhín Ó Caoláin from Cavan.

GEAI represented in Slovenia

Aedín, GEAI CEO, was invited to join representatives from 19 EU countries in Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia, to discuss how the Erasmus+ programme can focus on inclusion of people with fewer opportunities in volunteering projects.

For Aedín it was a very intense but worthwhile experience and for GEAI it opened up many opportunities for new partnerships and projects.

Drumming Performance

Sunday, 16th December, Sarah, Sasha and Siri, GEAI volunteers, participated to a samba drumming performance in Strandhill People's Market (Co. Sligo).

After a 6 weeks training, they had the opportunity to play in front of people some samba and reggae songs with different kinds of percussion. They enjoyed that a lot and had good fun!
