Halloween Time and Hispanic Heritage Month. 10/21🎃

October is Hispanic Heritage Month in Canada, celebrated since the 1960s. It is a time to reflect on and celebrate the contributions that Canadians of Hispanic descent have made, and continue to make, to the growth and prosperity of Canada. At LingoStar, we'd like to highlight these Hispanic contributions and how they're represented in a typical celebration for the month of October: Halloween. Indeed, in this period in the Americas, there are two cultural-related celebrations. While Americans have Halloween, Hispanic Americans in Mexico celebrate "El Día de Los Muertos". In this issue, we've focused on the connection between Halloween and religion and how languages and translation are involved.
