Dear Friends,

As you may have noticed, The Irregular Monthly skipped a couple cycles this winter, not unlike the menstrual cycle from time to time. This silence has not been due to lack of production or art-related business. Rather it has been due to an incredibly prosperous and active start to 2014. I am THRILLED to say that Beauty in Blood is off to an incredible start here in Denver, Colorado! I sincerely hope your new year is off to a similar start.

Updates / Events

January Cycle. In preparation for the upcoming group exhibition in Sweden, our pours have centered on video rather than still photography. Look for some super cool new video footage coming soon!

"Menstrual Art Show" | Urban Artroom | Gothenburg, Sweden
While attending the Society for Menstrual Cycle Research Conference in New York City last summer, I had the great fortune of meeting Ms. Josefin Persdotter. Since June, Ms. Persdotter has curated a menstruation related art show in her hometown, Gothenburg, Sweden. We are honored to be a part of this group exhibition and to be debuting in Europe. Sadly, we do not have travel plans to attend the gallery show, but if you or someone you know would like to sponsor our travel to Sweden, we would LOVE it! :-) Please contact the artist directly to arrange details.
When the show opens, we'll introduce one fun little surprise! Stay tuned!!

"Feminist Art Conference" | Beaver Hall Gallery | Toronto, ON
For the second consecutive yearBeauty in Blood has been invited to exhibit and speak at the Feminist Art Conference (FAC)! I have also had the added pleasure of working behind the scenes this year to help bring the 2014 conference to life. Due to the tremendous success of last year's conference, the Ontario College of Art & Design University (OCAD) partnered with FAC in order to properly reflect the artist and audience interest. Additionally, Rob joined the behind the scenes fun and created the video promo for FAC. We'll share that link with you once it is officially released.
GoFundMe. Unfortunately, we have a teeny, tiny, little problem. Last month we had two household emergencies that zapped our travel budget (doggy dental & car trouble) so we're reaching out to our fans, friends, and family to help get us to Toronto. Please consider supporting Beauty in Blood's special brand of ARTivism by donating to our travel expense fund.
Notes from the Sales Floor
All 9 pieces in the Rooster & Moon show are for sale at an extremely affordable range ($75-200). We also have a large inventory of 8" x 10" prints available for $50, which includes shipping.
In honor of our "Bloody Valentine" Art Show, I introduced a collection of notecards in our Etsy Shop under the same title. These are perfect for the feminist Valentine in your life! Nothing says 'I love you' quite like a bloody greeting. hee hee

Happy Bloody Valentine!

PS. If you dig the art, please share it.
