Groups return to Borde Hill

Borde Hill Garden in West Sussex is now open for pre-booked small groups as well as individuals. Small groups can also pre-book a 45 minute tour of the Garden with an experienced guide followed by a cream tea. Gorgeous!

British theatres continue to suffer financial hardship due to the pandemic. Some have closed their doors for good, and many others are planning staff redundancies, as they face the prospect of the complete loss of their 2020 performance schedule.

After closing during the lockdown, North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) is firing up its engines and inviting passengers aboard once more from 1st August - with steam journeys running seven days a week.

Butterfly farm re-opens

Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm has just re-opened on 4th July with social distancing measures. As well as looking after the butterflies, birds, fish and plants during lockdown, the team have also created a beautiful Maya themed display to be revealed on re-opening.

Tourism industry news

A list of low risk countries for which quarantine will not apply to people arriving back in England has been published. These include Greece, Spain, Italy, Poland, Australia, France and Belgium. Notable exclusions include Portugal and the USA. The list comes into effect from 10th July.


Although GTO magazine is on temporary pause during this period, we will be publishing a special supplement.
