Meet the McGowan Marketing Team

Emily at McGowan Marketing

As many of you will know, McGowan Marketing took over the management of the communication and administration activities of the Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce on the 1st of April.

The team follow in the very solid footsteps of Bruce Simpson, who was the Chamber’s Communication Executive for 7 years, and are very much looking forward to working with and, more importantly, for the members.

Emily McGowan said: “We are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work with the Chamber. We’d like to encourage our members to get in touch so we can share news of the business activities of the Scottish Borders.”

As part of their role, the team will be managing the content on the Chamber's social media channels. Emily continues: "We'd like to encourage our members, and those who are yet to join, to Like our Facebook Page and follow us on LinkedIn. We're ready and waiting to post about the diverse activities underway across the region."

Emily and the McGowan Marketing team are waiting to hear from you.

Business Mentoring

Is now the time for you to take advantage of the Mentoring for Growth Programme?

This group mentoring scheme brings mentees together with mentors who have a wide range of commercial backgrounds. Mentees on the fully funded programme see real benefit to their business, including:

  • They no longer feel that they are alone in their businesses or that their situation is unique
  • They are reaching their targets (sales and staff)
  • They have somewhere to go for help - they can just pick up the phone
  • They have the space to step back from the day to day tasks and look more strategically at their business and take a new perspective
  • They get feedback and input from a group of people they trust
  • They are gaining clarity, confidence and focus
  • They are learning and taking action
  • They are collaborating and finding resources they have needed for a while
If you would like further information, please contact Emma or apply now to start your mentoring journey.
The programme is supported by the FSB and Scottish Borders Exporters Association.
