Let's make a Dalston people's movie!
One of the central objectives of Dalston Futures is to create a voice for local people and wee have just received a small grant to make a short film. We have been concerned with the rate of change in the area (and the extent to which change benefits the community). Now we have the opportunity to make a short film which will give voice to the community's concerns.

You can help in a number of ways.
First we are organising an on-line urvey, and we want as many people as possible to complete the survey (please also leave your details with the survey, so we can contact you later for filming).  You can undertake the on-line survey here: http://tinyurl.com/p3ywalg

Secondly, we want you to use your smartphone (or laptop) to record your views on change in the area. Then up load it to youtube, and then send us a link (to hackneyunites@btinternet.com)

You tube is very easy to use and there is a guide to getting started here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/3309389 and a guide to uploading here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/57407?hl=en-GB

We will soon be launching a webpage where we will bring together the posts and begin a conversation about the future of Dalston.

Finally, tell your friends and neighbours in Dalston about this project (email them this newsletter, post on twitter or Facebook with a link to this newsletter:http://tinyurl.com/nbuaa7h

If you have any experience in film-making and want to contribute to the success of this project, please let us know.

If you are not already on our mailing list and want to get our regular newsletters, please sign up here: http://eepurl.com/ETY9P and together we can build a stronger community in Dalston.
