PAL Continues to Grow!
Thank you so much for your support of PAL. We wanted to update you on our goals and priorities for 2016 as well as bring you up-to-date on all things PAL. First new meetings and growth.
We added a meeting in Lebanon, Indiana – This news has tragedy connected to it as one of the facilitators that was trained lost her son to his addiction just days before this meeting officially launched in Lebanon, Indiana. We are standing by Michelle as she grieves over the loss of her son and pray that she will somehow find strength and comfort during this time.
We added a new meeting in Phoenix at Christ Church Lutheran on Tuesday nights at 7PM- and we have meetings being planned in Nevada, Maryland, California, Prescott and Texas. Stay tuned as we announce the start dates once details are firm.
Please remember to check the meeting updates on our website for guest speakers and special events. For example tonight at West Valley Bible Church they are having a guest speaker (28 year-old recovering addict sharing his story- you don’t want to miss this!) Also Mike Speakman is visiting several meetings over the next few weeks. Be sure to check it out. (click here)
The board met last month and worked on priorities for 2016. Here are some of the highlights
Move our facilitator training to mostly an on-line experience and provide video and other methods to help new facilitators especially as they start meeting in places PAL has no presence.
Update and revitalize our website (this is going on right now and should be up and running in the next couple weeks!) – the goals is for the website to be more visually appealing and user friendly.
Provide follow-up and mentorship for our facilitators
Create a start-up packet for new meeting start-ups that can be shipped on demand (including signage, books, flyers, etc.)
Put together outreach seminars with local experts. One is scheduled for March 5th. Stay tuned for the location and details but save the date (8:30AM to Noon) in Phoenix, with 4 local experts on addiction issues
Develop and deliver training to first responders, such as police and fire personnel. Provide them with information to give to families about PAL.
We have several others such as developing corporate sponsors and maintaining the history of PAL and could certainly use your help on these. If you have any connections to corporations you think would help PAL financially, please email us and we will follow up.
We are so blessed to have your on-going support. We cannot accomplish the above goals without your financial gifts. Please consider PAL in your regular charitable giving as this will help us continue to expand our reach. Donate Here
