Alumni Survey Results

Thanks to all of you who completed the *|UTEACHPROG|* Alumni Survey! More than 600 UTeach alumni from 15 universities nationwide responded, and you're making a huge difference in math and science classrooms across the country.

Of those who responded, about 75 percent of you are currently employed in K-12 education. The majority of respondents were teachers (471), but UTeach alumni are also principals or assistant principals (6), academic coordinators (5), counselors (2), district and school administrative staff (2), among other positions. Look for more results from the national UTeach Alumni Survey coming soon.

Congratulations to Agustin De La Rosa, from Teach North Texas at the University of North Texas, and Elizabeth Tubac, from CUTeach at the University of Colorado, Boulder! Their names were drawn from among all survey respondents, and they each won a free iPad!

The UTeach Family is Expanding!

Old Dominion University is the newest university, and the first school in Virginia, to implement UTeach. Named MonarchTeach, the program will launch in August with an enrollment of up to 20 students.

On March 18, the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) announced that a $22.5 million, five-year grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) will support the expansion of UTeach into 10 more research universities.

Lots more UTeach alumni will soon be joining the family!
