Dear family and friends, as we embark on a New Year, Bryan and I would like to extend our love, wishes, and blessings for a very happy and prosperous new beginning for us all!
This year has seen the homegoing of quite a few loved ones: Dad Fragas (Bryan's father), Robin Fragas (our sister-in-law, Tommy's wife), Bernie (our longtime family/dear friend), and Pastor Ismael (a great man of God from Puerto Rico). We are so thankful that we do not have to mourn as the world mourns as we have an eternal hope, Christ Jesus. Without that solid anchor, it would be so hard to bear.
With that being said, we have had some tremendous joys in 2013 as well: Ashley and Scott's blessed marriage, Abraham Medina's glorious en caul birth (grandson), the recent transition of the newlywed Masons, our little cottage renovation project has come along quite well, and last but not least, I just launched a web design business: Basil Web Designs! God has been so very faithful and awesome!
2014 will mark the year that my precious husband and I retire from the active duty military life and continue with the Lord's direction in our lives! We plan on going to the Dominican Republic to join our dearest friends, Pastor Emory & Vickie Goodman and all that they're doing there.
We also have a trip at the beginning of 2015 slated to go to Africa . . . YES, we're going to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in order to take a stand for freedom against human trafficking! We are so very excited, yet challenged at the same time by this upcoming endeavor! We will be involved in fundraising between now and then in order to donate said monies to an agency that is already making huge strides in this area. Not only are they highly involved with rescuing those bound in such slavery, but also in the prosecution of those guilty of perpetuating this heinous crime!
As this New Year begins, we just wanted to take a moment to say, "Thank You," for being such an important part of our lives and hearts. We don't know everything that lies ahead, but this one thing we do know: THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
With much love and heartfelt thanks,
