We enjoyed a wonderful evening celebrating a year
of excellence and outstanding achievements
in Structural Engineering!


 There was a fantstic range of submissions to the 2016 Awards. In some categories there were standout winners and in others it was a tough job for our judges.

The ACSE would like to extend its gratitude to the judges for their time.

GOLD MEDAL WINNER

Harry Partridge

Harry Partridge, the Founding Director of Partridge Engineering, retired in 2016 after enjoying 48 years of a fascinating and diverse career.

His passion for sculpture, art and culture reflects in a belief that Engineering is highly creative. This is manifest through the Partridge Events side of the practice, which consults to the arts and entertainment industries. He has developed a design approach and philosophy for Partridge Engineering that includes maintaining a high standard of ethics, engineering design and documentation. 

Currently he is the Technical Director of Culture Capital, a consultancy delivering creative development through art strategy.

The civil and structural engineering works required for a mechanical and biological treatment facility at the Woodlawn Eco-Precinct near Goulburn. 
HIGH COMMENDATION

Robert Bird Group
Museum Station Upgrade
The State Govt's Easy Access Upgrade required the installation of a series of lifts in a Heritage Listed Sydney CBD station build in the 1920's . 


SMALL BUILDING PROJECTS CATEGORY
Partridge Engineering

Manly House
 
A luxury beachfront three-storey house constructed of suspended reinforced concrete slabs, supported on a combination of load bearing masonry, structural sttel columns and reinforced concrete. This small project demonstrated considerable innovation.


MEDIUM BUILDING PROJECTS CATEGORY
Taylor Thompson Whitting

580 George Street

Known as the HSBC Centre, the redevelopment of this landmark building was intended to increase space and prominence, enhance the relationship of the new and existing external structure and uniquely identify the building.


LARGE BUILDING PROJECTS CATEGORY

International Convention Centre
ICC is one of Australia's largest multi-modal convention, entertainment and exhibition precincts. This is a highly complex structure of great public significance.
The ACSE Awards Presentation Night
was held at Harbour 220 on Thursday 23 March, 2017
