Jain Recipe of the Month

As many of you head back to school, finding quick Jain-friendly snacks to make can be difficult - especially for our young Jains moving into college housing. No fear - YJA is here to save the day with a quick, healthy, and Jain-friendly study snack.

Celery Dip

INGREDIENTS:
3-4 cups corn chips

10-12 stems of celery

1-cup cilantro leaves

2-green chilies

3-tsp. Sugar

1 1/2-tsp. lime juice

2-tbsp. Vinegar

Salt

PREPARATION:
Wash and chop celery stems and cilantro (coriander) leaves. Mix all the other ingredients in the mixer. It can be served with corn chips or also used as chutney with Ritz crackers.
