Note from our President, Julie Spero

Our recent conference aboard The Queen Mary was especially meaningful for me. The ship itself has been restored as much as possible to her original splendor with many photographs of those who sailed, including kings, celebrities, and U.S. servicemen.
It felt as though her history were alive all around us.   While steeped in history and in the presence of members old and new, we had a chance to appreciate who NANP is and just how far we have sailed from the beginning.

There have been many amazing people who have blazed the trail for NANP to continue forward and we realize how important it is to keep our history alive.  We look forward to soon sharing that history-making journey with you and expressing our gratitude to the trailblazers who have launched and nurtured the growth of our organization.

I have been a member of NANP for 12 years now.  Over those years I have observed members and partners old and new, keeping our movement pulsing with life, growing steadily, gaining recognition, and creating waves.  As the Board and Staff continue to focus our attention on charting an exciting course for the years ahead, we look back over our shoulder with a nod to those dozen or so nutritionists who paved the way for all of us. If you were to ask one of our founding members back then about their vision of NANP in 2016, they might have said ‘it was our wildest dream.’  And in 2016 we continue to dream wildly about the future.

In service to health,

PS: Speaking of Trail-Blazers… Don’t miss the 2017 conference in Portland Oregon: Blazing Trails in Holistic Nutrition. Mark your calendar for May 4-7, 2017.  See you there!
