1. Tell us about yourself; at the personal level not what you do? I am a single mother of two wonderful teenagers who appreciate wellness living and continue to inspire me each day. I am grateful that I raised the children with empathy and respect, which is echoed in the culture we co-created as a family. As a single mother, it has been challenging to grow a business while raising kids. That’s where the concept of community truly entered into the picture. Nurturing and building support teams continues to be so important for me, both personally and professionally.

I have entrepreneurship in my blood. I have run numerous successful businesses from natural products manufacturing to business brokerages. Even when I had employee relationships with large companies, my entrepreneurial spirit was fed as I always took ownership for my own success. I am very passionate about what I do both inside and out. I enjoy building businesses, rather than just starting ideas. Some of my best decisions have been made while jogging in the forest. I am a huge advocate for regular “doses” of nature, away from electronics. If you don’t find me in nature, you may also find me paddle boarding on the river.

2. What led you to the health and wellness industry? Health and Wellness has been a big part of me since the age of 13, when I made a conscious decision to exercise regularly and eat healthy. Of course, at that time, I was considered “weird” for eating healthy. I think at a young age, I observed nutrition and lifestyle choices of the world around me and was convinced that we could live our optimal life if we properly fueled our body and mind.

My Grandma was a big inspiration to me as she would teach me her healthy habits and educate me on supplement regimes. I really think it paid
off since I was able to avoid prescriptions, common among people in my family.
