ACHS and Aromatherapy Expert Dorene Petersen Contribute to Ground Breaking Aromatherapy Documentary

American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) and College President Dorene Petersen have partnered with filmmakers and aromatherapists Kristina Bauer and Angela Jensen Ehmke on their upcoming aromatherapy documentary, Uncommon Scents.

Uncommon Scents will explore the past, present, and future of the aromatherapy and essential oil industry, and will include personal interviews with renowned industry experts.

"Uncommon Scents elevates conversations about essential oils above marketing speak, brand rhetoric, and hyperbolic claims to shine a light on the credible, evidence-based truths and profoundly powerful personal stories in which the industry’s history is grounded,” says Kristina Bauer, executive producer, screenwriter, and former ACHS student.

“I want to invite our audience to be awed, challenged, surprised, and inspired,” says Bauer. “We also hope the film brings some powerful learning moments. The best Aromatherapy education extends beyond ‘just’ safe and effective use: it also includes thoughtful engagement and conscientious relationship.”

ACHS is an Associate Producer of the film, and College President and Founder Dorene Petersen, an industry expert with over 35 years of clinical teaching and lecturing experience in aromatherapy, will be among the cast of aromatherapists interviewed for the film.
