2015 Black Portraiture{s} II Conference: Imaging the Black Body and Re-Staging Histories in Florence


The {Re}Significations art exhibit was excellent.

There were so many people outside clamoring to get in to the exhibit (the picture above shows who was there when we arrived on time) that the scheduled reception had to be cancelled as there was not enough food and drinks to go around. People waited for hours to get in. View a few select photos from the exhibit and conference and if you have any of your own please leave them in the comments.

After 650 Years Of Existence, University Of Vienna Appoints First Black Professor
 


The University of Vienna is the oldest university in the German-speaking world founded in 1365.

" This is the environment in which another African, from the Ghana region of the Republic of Africa, as he likes to say, is going to enter history. Adams Bodomo holds the Chair Professor of African Languages and Linguistics"
