Discover Cuba: A Travel Event
January 13 at 1 pm at the Savvy Traveler in Edmonds, WA
Join us on January 13th to learn  to about Cuba's welcoming culture, music-filled streets, and immersive opportunities for all ages! Global Family Travels, Founder and CEO, Jennifer Spatz will shares her experiences, expertise, vibrant images, and practical advice on what you need to know to prepare for a family trip to Cuba! Despite the recent travel policy changes, the good news for travelers dreaming of Cuba is that it is still an accessible destination! While individual people-to-people travel is ending, guided group people-to-people trips are permitted, and you can still support the Cuban people by engaging in meaningful exchanges with individuals in Cuba. Discover Zimbabwe on Safari: A Travel Event 
February 17 at 1 pm at the Savvy Traveler in Edmonds, WA
 
 Global Family Travels Africa Specialist, Kelly McCoy who will share amazing images and stories from her recent experiences visiting the natural wonders and spectacular views of Victoria Falls, the Zambezi River, and Hwange and Zambezi National Parks while on safari in Zimbabwe. Kelly will also review our Learn, Serve Immerse while on Safari in Zimbabwe itinerary. Joining us at this event is Carrie Culp, Executive Director and Founder of the Painted Dog Research Trust USA and Trip Leader for our Zimbabwe Safari and Painted Dog Adventure.  Carrie will give an engaging presentation on what efforts are being taken to help conserve African Painted Dog.   RSVP here.
Recapping our 2017 Year of Sustainable Travel, and our Commitment for More in 2018

2017 is the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development  as designated by the United Nations (UN), and we at Global Family Travels are honored to play a part in fostering economic growth by promoting sustainable trips that preserve cultures, support quality education and build cultural bridges!   We are grateful to our valued partners across the globe that share our commitment to sustainable travel focused on our 3 pillars of learn, serve, and immerse.   Read our recent blogs to learn more about our sustainable travel initiatives: Global Family Travels is also excited to play a role in the Impact Travel Alliance (ITA, formerly Travel + Social Good (TSG) which is non-profit global community of change makers who are passionate about transforming the travel industry into a force for good.  In November, we attended the ITA Summit in New York  and  in March of 2018 we will help launch the Impact Travel Alliance of Greater Seattle (ITA-GS) Hub.  Through education, advocacy and community-building around sustainable tourism, the ITA-GS Hub will be one of the 30 (and growing!)
