LSA Internship Program

This past summer, the LSA Internship Program offered 1,000+ internship positions and more than $540,000 in internship scholarships to hundreds of students from across the College. Economics major Anna Graff was one of them.

Getting caught in the background of a selfie

I PROMISE YOU’VE WONDERED ABOUT THIS, TOO

Imagine: You’re in the Big House with 100,000 of your closest friends, and the group of strangers in front of you snaps a selfie—and you, in all of your emotional glory (read: horror), are unknowingly in it. How many photos of you are really out there in the world?!

TICK TOCK

Despite what pop culture (no surprise there) and even some public health practices (welp) often lead us to believe, research shows that women are not the only ones with a “biological clock.” Yeah, that’s pretty important to know.

"Student Government"

A WHOLE NEW MEANING TO “STUDENT GOVERNMENT”

As political science student Zachary Ackerman prepares for graduation this December, he has far more to worry about than what to wear under his gown—a whole city’s-worth more, to be exact.

What you need to know about $$

IT’S NEVER TOO EARLY, Y’ALL

Real talk: Getting your diploma in the mail often marks the beginning of complete financial independence from your family. Yikes. Sometimes you just need someone to tell you the 10 things you need to know about money before you’re 30 so that you can try to do that whole “adult” thing, and maybe stop hyperventilating.

INVISIBILIA PART 2

Here’s a good start to a conversation that we should probably all be having—whether or not you think it “affects” you.

THIS WEEK IN GOOGLE

Because Google is slowly taking over the world (let’s be real, it’s already happened): 1. How gmail may be able to respond to your emails for you...awesome or toootally creepy? I’d say the latter. And 2. One man’s heart-wrenching story on the role that Google Street View plays in grieving and (not) letting go.

Over half (55%) of you knew that Ted Kaczynski, a.k.a. the UNABOMBER, is an LSA grad. Not gonna lie...pretty impressed! Either you really know your murder history, or you’re an A+ guesser. Another 27% of you believed it was Jack Kevorkian, and 18% thought H.H. Holmes.
