What am I creating?
In addition to making Native-American style flutes, I’m now creating kanteles and ocarinas.
I photographed this cherry six-string kantele with a backdrop of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park when I was hiking earlier this summer.

I’ll be a Flutemaker in Residence at Flute Haven 2014, Sept. 8-14, in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. I’m busy creating flutes and kanteles that I’ll be selling at the event. Here are 6 Reasons to Attend Flute Haven 2014.

The Joy of Ocarinas
I'll be leading a "Joy of Ocarinas" workshop at Flute Haven 2014 with the wooden ocarinas that I'm creating. The ocarina is a portable size that lets you have a musical instrument with you -- in your purse or backpack. This ocarina was photographed among the mountain laurel along the trail.
