J.D. Steele
Since arriving on the Minnesota music scene in the 1980s, J.D. Steele and his dynamic vocal siblings, “The Steeles,” have garnered every major music award and accolade the state has to offer. J.D. has written original musicals; collaborated with dance companies, theaters and operas; developed music workshops with students; and written, produced, performed and recorded with some of the world’s biggest stars, including Prince. J.D. serves as director of the MacPhail Community Youth Choir, which brings together energetic youth to perform many styles of music such as jazz, gospel, pop and East African.
