English Department Event Information
Valentine Party Treat Night:
- Warm your heart on Wednesday, February 12 with delicious fondue from your favorite Valentine’s date, the English Department. Quite possibly the most romantic event on campus this year. Starts at 4:30 pm.
ACTC English Majors Conference:
- On Friday, February 28, English majors from the ACTC schools will gather to present scholarship and creative writing on a number of topics. Selected Macalester students will present at the half-day conference, which will take place at St. Catherine’s College.
ACTC Poetry Reading - Ghassan Zaqtan:
- Palestinian poet, editor, and author of Like a Straw Bird it Follows Me, Ghassan Zaqtan comes to campus for a poetry reading. The event will take place Monday, March 3 at 7:30 pm in JBD hall.
English Department Poetry Panel and Lunch:
- Join poet Ghassan Zaqtan and the English Department for a panel on poetry accompanied by a delicious lunch sponsored by the English Department. This event will take place on Tuesday, March 4 at 11:30 am in Weyerhaeuser.
