Thirty (Three) Years of Bike Stop!

It’s been 33 good, long years since Bike Stop was first established and we’re still going strong. It is our anniversary this week and with the continued support of you, the Bike Stop community we only see growth. We did a little digging through the secret archives and discovered that it has in fact been 30 years(!) since Bike Stop planted its roots here in the Old Town, just look at the photograph of the place ‘back in the day’, its probably inside where the greatest changes have been made with a total of 7 showrooms now.
So a massive thank you to absolutely everyone who has helped and continues to help Bike Stop be the incredible place that it is.
We’ve got a few special treats for lined up for you in celebration so keep an eye on the blog, our social networks and your inboxes!

We are also currently recruiting, so if you're as passionate about bikes and gear as we are and want to join our fantastic team just send us your CV.
We are constantly working to improve the new website, and the feedback we've been receiving from you all has been invaluable. One area is making sure our huge product range is all on there. We've now added our extensive range of Kriega to the Bike Stop site - whether online or in store, we’re you’re one stop shop for luggage. So if you haven’t been by in a while take a look!

Beauty and the Feast

or Every Cancelled Festival Has a Silver Lining
We were all sad that Bike Fest was cancelled but, ever the good Samaritans, Bike Stop put on some extra free cakes (homemade, of course) to go with our free coffee and welcomed in weary travellers who had not heard the news. It was quite the busy day and it was great to see so many new faces. We had one group who had made the trip from Norfolk – not the shortest drive to find out you've got to turn back around – so we were glad we could provide a friendly pit stop.  We do hope Bike Fest will be back next year......
We were going to be bringing some bikes from our friends at The Bike Shed (BSMC) to the festival but have instead now offered to house one of the beauties. Our lady love, a Ducati is called "Monroe" and she is sitting with pride of place in the front window – what a piece of eye candy.
Got a tired old jacket that needs to be put to rest? A pair of textile trousers worn down and worn out? Why not trade them in at Bike Stop for 20% off some brand new, fine Rukka clothing. Go on, treat yourself, you deserve nice things.

 Oakley Bike Festival 2014

We attended the Oakley Motorcycle Club Festival earlier in the month and was absolutely brilliant. The turnout, the atmosphere, the food, not to mention all the bikes, it was just a great day and we sincerely hope to see it return next year. You can read more about it here.
You’ll be pleased to know we have extended our summer sale, so there’s still time to grab yourself a bargain with up to 30% off. We’ve also added some Davida ex-display helmets, but we are down to our last few, and once they’re gone they’re gone. These are only available in store, and sizes are limited, so if you are travelling please do ring ahead.
In partnership with IAM, we are pleased to support the Herts and Beds Advanced Motorcyclists' (HBAM) 30th Anniversary presentation being given by Dave Hailwood on the 11th October 2014 at Novotel Stevenage.  Tickets will be priced at £10 for advance sales and £12.50 on the door. Bike Stop will be providing raffle prizes of £100 value.   Doors at 7.30pm for 8.00pm start and Dave will be bringing a Mike Hailwood Honda RC181 500cc 4 cylinder racer - at some point in the evening he will be firing up the beast!
Register your ticket requirements by email to Syd Dore:
