What does it mean to march?

Will you join us at the March for Marriage as we take back the Civil Rights Movement from the anti-family Left?

Dear Partner,

Mark you calendars. June 19th is going to be a historic day.

And I hope that you will be part of it.

What happens on June 19th? That is the day of the March for Marriage in Washington, DC. That is the day that we make a statement to the world about our commitment to faith, family, and traditional marriage. And it is the day that we will take back the Civil Rights Movement from the Leftists and LGBT advocates who have hijacked it.

We are beset on every side by those who will do anything in their power to forward the gay agenda, and who cloak their lawless actions in the language of civil rights. This includes President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder, who is abusing his office to engage in political coercion. This is why we launched the campaign to impeach Holder, and why we continue to ask you to sign the petition and spread the word to your family and friends.

In my last message to you, I wrote a bit about my own experiences in the Civil Rights marches and sit-ins of the 1950s and '60s.  I also discussed my deep disappointment and anger at how the gay marriage advocates have attempted to attach themselves to our noble cause.

Have you seen our "Not One Step" video? It captures this contradiction and makes it clear how ludicrous it is. (Note that you can still sign the marriage pledge, but we've moved it to this page on our website.)

We marched to preserve our values, not destroy them. And we will continue to defend them at the March for Marriage.

Of course, in order to make a powerful statement for family and marriage, we need your help and participation.

Right now, we're trying to raise the funds to hire buses that will bring CAAP's members and supporters to Washington for the March. We want to demonstrate that this isn't just another political rally, but a true movement. Just like the great civil rights marches of the past.

We want to bring young people by the busload and defeat the notion that the millennial generation doesn't care about this issue. We want to be able to show grandmothers marching next to high school groups and demonstrate the true diversity of our cause.

But in order to do so, we desperately need your assistance. The March is part of a special fundraising effort, and if we cannot raise the money to pay for these buses, then our moment will pass and we will miss this critical opportunity.

Please consider whether you might be able to make a donation to assist with the March for Marriage and help us take back the Civil Rights Movement. If you're ready to help, contact us at wowens@caapusa.org. Anything you can do will help our cause.

And please consider joining us in Washington, DC as we make our stand for faith, family, and marriage.

Hoping to march with you in Washington,

Bill and Deborah Owens

P.S. - Your support is what keeps us going! If you're looking to do more to support traditional marriage, please consider a donation to CAAP. No gift is too small, and your generosity is deeply appreciated.
