America's Wake-Up Call?
We will be here if we are the last ones standing.
Dear Partner,
The Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP) is calling for Justices Ginsburg and Kagan to recuse themselves from hearing the upcoming same-sex marriage case. Stunningly, the Supreme Court of the United States of America has two Justices who have openly declared their support for same-sex marriage, which is unethical and illegal. The lack of pressure for them to step down has clearly bolstered their stance regarding same-sex marriage. Also, it appears that neither of the judges feel the necessity and even legal responsibility to conceal their own “personal opinions” regarding same-sex marriage. Their lack of respect for the law, and their refusal to step down are both clear indications of just how far we have moved away from our moral responsibility. Please take a moment to sign the petition, and please take the time to make a quick donation of $500.00, $100.00, $50.00, $25.00 or 10.00, or any amount you can afford. We launched a petition asking that the clearly biased Justices Ginsburg and Kagan recuse themselves from the case.
The Definition of Marriage has not changed!
Once again, America makes the choice to defy God, despite the true and pure definition of marriage found in the Bible. The Bible declares that marriage is between one man and one woman, this has not changed. And, these justices like hundreds of other ‘activist’ judges across the land are providing undeniable evidence of how they will decide the upcoming case. The fact that oral arguments won’t be heard until sometime in late April, and they performed two ‘public’ same-sex unions speaks volumes concerning Justice Ginsburg and Kagan.
So then several questions remain, will the people of America allow the immorality that is clearly evident in Washington D.C., continue to spread like a cancer? The U.S. Supreme Court seems to be manifesting the symptoms of moral decay over and over; will the American people continue to turn a blind eye to what is happening to America? Will they merely roll over and fall back to sleep being overcome by their own daily personal challenges? Or will they stand up, and fight against this ‘cancer’ that is ravishing the nation which, will ultimately bring about its destruction?
Even so, CAAP will stand in this fight to uphold the sanctity of marriage and family in American society, standing in the gap for marriage and family. We will be holding a press conference in the coming days to ask Justices Ginsburg and Kagan to do the right thing.
Again, CAAP has launched a petition on our website asking that Justices Kagan and Ginsburg recuse themselves from the case or that Chief Justice Roberts take action to ensure the integrity of the Court. We urge you to sign the petition and persuade others to do so as well. It may take a public outcry to ensure that justice and impartiality prevail.
We need your help; with your continued support we can continue in this fight. Your prayers and financial support mean so much to us, for without it we would not be able to continue in this fight. Please take the time to make a quick donation of $500.00, $100.00, $50.00, $25.00 or 10.00, or any amount you can afford.

Nothing New Under the Sun
History testifies of nations that chose to disregard the laws of God, and the Bible declares that there is really nothing new under the sun [Ecc.2:11; 3: 15]. Ecclesiastes 3:15 declares, “That which has been is now; and that which is to be has already been; and God requires that which is past.”
This scripture sums up the condition of America today; there is no new thing under the sun, and all nations eventually end up at the same end of the road when they choose to disregard the divine laws of God. The historical specter of what a fallen nations looks like can been seen throughout the pages of history; and history proves that when spiritual corruption and lawlessness are permeating a nation it will fall. The nations of Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Mede-Persia, Greece, and Rome all testify to the divine judgment of God—history cannot be denied.
Today America is following in the tradition of these nations, which is evidenced by ‘lawlessness’ that prevails from the highest court in the land! Please sign the petition.
The war to keep faith and family strong remains our priority. At CAAP we work against the odds to make a difference in our nation. Nonetheless, there are exciting things ahead for CAAP. We want you to join us at this year’s March for Marriage April 25, 2015 in Washington, D.C. The march was moved to coincide with the Supreme Court case, and we're looking to bring even more of our friends, partners, and engaged youth to the event.
It very well could be our last chance to make sure the Justices hear us loud and clear: The majority of Americans voted to protect God’s definition of marriage – one man and one woman, period! We live in a society where “we the people” decide, and the people voted overwhelmingly in the majority of states to amend their state’s Constitution to protect traditional marriage. It has been activists judges and some politicians who have gone against the will of “we the people.” It’s wrong!
Your generous gift today will help us stay in this fight—and we deeply appreciate your support. Please take the time to make a quick donation of $500.00, $100.00, $50.00, $25.00 or 10.00, or any amount you can afford. No amount is too small.
It is your continued prayers and support that keep us going. With your help, we will begin the process of healing the division in this country, and bring back the traditional values that the majority of Americans hold so dear.
Be sure to keep an eye out for more announcements about the next great event we're planning.
CAAP is marching, praying, and working to preserve our values. Please join us in making a difference.
For faith and family,

Bill and Deborah Owens
P.S. - Your support is what helps us continue our work, from newsletters to special events and more! If you're looking to do more to support faith, family, and justice, please consider a donation to CAAP.
