Midweek News- 10/12/2022
Hi <<First Name>>, welcome to LIFE @ St. Anne's. We hope this will help you keep up with all the happenings here at St. Anne's. Have a blessed week.
I've been gathering leaves and pressing them in every large book I can find. Why? Because my counselor lesson this month is about leaves and I want each student to have their own leaf to decorate and preserve. For the record, that's a lot of leaves. I thought I'd share a really rough version of that lesson with you.
The leaves we see in the fall are not leaves that have "changed". They are, in fact, the actual leaf. However, when trees are growing and producing a lot of chlorophyl they appear green. The chlorophyl masks the true leaf. I invite you to reflect on what true self is being masked. Is there a part of yourself that is hidden? And if so, what would it be like to allow your true colors to show? God created us all- in our own unique, weird, quirky ways but we feel compelled to hide that self- to cloak ourselves in bland sameness. So, let go and let God shine through.
Peace,
Meg+
