We're under way at last with the first few matches having taken place on Sunday.

I need to run through some "officious" but important bits ahead of the first results coming in.

We've already had a couple of reports of teams playing inappropriate ability players in leagues and they are being investigated. Please make sure that you don't field the wrong level players in lower leagues as this may result in losing any points won and potentially additional points penalties.

Please don't forget to read the rules on results submissions as points will be deducted for failing to meet the deadlines. Those of you playing non-Pairs cricket will need to submit full scorecards with first and last names for players inside the 7-day deadline, pairs matches only require the runs, wickets and overs. BOTH teams are responsible for submitting results and scorecards not just the home or winning team.

Please carefully check the rules on re-arrangements. Any matches still showing on Play-Cricket without a result after 7-days will be assumed to be a late submission. Once a points penalty for late submission has been issued it cannot be rescinded.

We have had some late withdrawals from the league in the past couple of weeks which has resulted in £100 fines for the clubs involved. We are very much hoping there won't be any more. The number of withdrawals is massively down on previous years, which is good news. Teams failing to play more than half of their matches over the year will be taken as a withdrawal too.

There are plenty of friendly requests below if you have gaps in your schedules. Please let me know if you would like to add one for your squad.

As always please get in touch if you have any questions.
