Edition 164

A few items to catch up on this week mostly fed back from our clubs: -

  • Umpires should not be changing once the game has started, except in exceptional circumstances. This is important to ensure continuity of rules.
  • The inclusivity rule in the older age group which says that each player who hasn't batted in the first innings must bowl two overs, these overs must be consecutive to ensure that even in an innings finishing early, they have bowled their two overs.
  • For those umpires unsure about the LBW law, it's really well explained here.
Surrey Cricket have some summer course details below as well as those from Twenty20 Community Cricket.

We are still looking for players U10-U15 to play for League rep sides. If you haven't sent me recommendations as yet, please can you do so asap in the next week?

Finally we are also still looking for state school cricketers in years 4 & 5 to trial for a place in one of 12 Borough State School Cricket Academies.  All the details can be found online.
