League fixtures are now frozen so you should all have your list of games listed on Play-Cricket.

We have identified several games which appear to be being played on the same pitch at the same time or where a team appears to have two games at once. My colleague Phil Caldwell will be in touch, this week most likely, to discuss this.

Where you are able to play two matches at once on the same ground, e.g. softball games on an outfield, these must be listed as two separate grounds.

Now you have your fixtures there will no doubt be some slots free when you could play some friendlies. Below you will find a growing list of teams looking for more games. Please let me know if you would like to be added to this list.

Please also see below a note from Surrey Cricket.

Darren Talbot

Dear Club

As you will hopefully know from September 2019 all junior cricket in Surrey will come under one new organisation responsible to continuing the great work of the various Junior Leagues that currently exist. All of the leagues are full involved and have endorsed the move towards one structure as we believe it provides a number of key benefits that will support the ongoing development of the game in Surrey and ultimately further increases in participation.

We have presented our plans and progress at all of the AGMs of the current leagues as well as presenting at the recent Club Forums and have also encouraged anyone to provide their thoughts on the plans via an online link (
https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/SurreyJuniorCricketFuture). We hope to release a ‘prospectus’ in the coming weeks which outlines some of the reasonings behind the changes as well as providing a level of detail around the proposed playing formats for 2020 onwards.

In the next month we will also be presenting the plans (and progress to date) in an online webinar on the evening of Monday 15th April from 8pm (please contact Lettie Hadley on
lhadley@surreycricket.com if you would like to be added to this event) and in addition we have 3 evenings booked where people can come along to talk about the future plans. The details of the evenings are below:

Wednesday 17th April at Reigate Priory CC
Wednesday 24th April at the Surrey Cricket Centre, Guildford
Thursday 2nd May at the Kia Oval

To book onto one of these evenings please use the Survey Monkey link here -
https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/JuniorConsultation.

If you would like to speak about the structure but cannot do the evenings or webinar please feel free to get in touch with me directly as I am happy to meet or speak on the phone about the programme. My mobile number is 07824 866804.

Kind regards
Simon Hards
