2015 has been filled with lots of adventures, challenges and blessings. First of all I want to give a heartfelt thank you for so many that reached out with such love, prayers and support after my dad's passing. Still miss him so much but continue to give thanks for all the wonderful memories and the incredible impact he has had on my life. I know he is smiling from above and continuing to bless so many of us as we continue this journey we are on. I was deeply touched with the donations that came in memory of my dad and I am happy to announce that in January we will begin work on opening a fitness gym and health wellness center in his memory by our clinic in Haiti. This has been a goal for a while but we now have the funds and the space to begin. Plan to have a facility locally employed where people can come get there BP checked and safely workout throughout the day. We will also be able to host multiple exercise classes daily and provide even more community education on nutrition, stroke, diabetes and cardiovascular disease prevention. Some of the other goals for 2016 are to start a speech therapy program in our clinic in Haiti and to continue to enhance the adaptive equipment program initiated this year. Also have a plan to work on writing more training manuals to be able to do more community based trainings in both Haiti and Guatemala. Excited to see how God is at work as the details come together in His timing. Now enjoy some video updates of some highlights of this year! Just click on the pics below to play.
A video of all the lives being touch by the equipment that is built in our new workshop space. This year we were also blessed to hire a young man named Samson that is now working part time in the workshop so we can serve even more needs in our community. We hope to be able to bring him on full time.
December 1st is giving Tuesday and as someone that sees first hand the impact your sacrificial giving makes, I want to say Thank You! Your faithfulness is making an impact in many lives including my own. If it is on your heart to continue to support these programs you can help us reach the underserved especially those with disabilities.
A video of our first run/walk/ride for those that can't in Chichicastenango. It was a beautiful to see the community come out and cheer the participants. Many who are seen as weak, different, or broken showed in actuality they are strong precious and courageous instruments of God's love. We hope to continue these community exercise events in both Haiti and Guatemala in 2016. We hosted our 4th community 2k this year in Haiti. It is amazing to see how these events bring the community together and the impact that alone can make. Not to mention the health benefits of exercise and laughter.

A video of the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the CAF therapy program I have been blessed to be a part of over the last 4 years. It has been incredible to see the love the staff shares with each person that comes through the doors. The staff continues to be eager to learn as well as share their experiences. Together we are excited to see what God has planned for the next 10 years. This January marks the 5th Anniversary of the clinic in Haiti. Beautiful to see how locals are being trained to provide therapy in those places where therapy would otherwise not be available and it is changing the lives of everyone involved. God is good!
