Chuckanut Transition, building resilient community within the Samish Watershed, believes all hope lies in our ability to connect with place and with one another.  Essentially, by becoming indigenous to our watershed, we are creating lives that are more meaningful, healthy and joyful.

Lighting the Dark: Swapping, Dining, Learning, Singing, Burning
This is our midwinter seasonal celebration in honor of the halfway point between winter solstice and spring equinox. This is the time of rest and deep imagining as we move back towards the light.

The Night's Schedule:

4:00 - 6:00 pm ~ Swap
6:00 - 7:00 pm ~ Potluck
7:00 - 7:30 pm ~ Skillshare on native medicinal plants: nettles, bittercress, cascara, usnea, elderberry, and cottonwood
7:30 - 8:00 pm ~ Hootenanny Sing-a-long led by Benny Sidelinger
8:00 pm ~ Lighting the Dark Burn Sculpture

Kids friendly event. We gladly accept donations for our Community Sundial project and/or Hall maintenance.
