Recent Events

Working Bee | thank you to everyone who attended the first Working Bee. We were able to achieve a lot around the club due to the large volume of members who showed up and got the jobs done. Dates for future events will be published throughout the season.

Craft Team Fundraisers | the craft squad wish to thank everyone who has supported their recent fundraiser efforts, including the Burger Night and purchasing their delicious pies.

Club Calendars | are now available to purchase. These cost $20.00 each and would make a fantastic Christmas present for a clubbie. They can be ordered via any member of the craft team or contact Nic Rhodes-Grennell for more information (see committee contacts at end of newsletter).
Grants | the club wishes to thank NZCT for the grant for surf boat equipment and new foamies. We also thank Hutt Mana Trust for the grant that has allowed us to order a new ski for members to paddle this summer.

Lifesaving
Lifeguard Refresher | the first lifeguard refresher is this Sunday 1 November from 12pm. Theory Test | lifeguards will need to login to their Member Portal to complete their theory test. This is available on the Member Portal - usernames are 'SLS_membershipnumber' and passwords 'lastname20'. Other components are a run-swim-run, tube rescue and CPR.

Patrol Roster | lifeguards can now fill out the 2020/2021 Patrol Availability Survey to indicate which dates they can patrol this season. We'd love to see older lifeguards who may have been out of the movement back between the flags (after they've been refreshed), so please get in touch if you're interested in patrolling again.

Surf Lifeguard Award/Patrol Support Training | candidates have been busy learning all sorts of lifeguarding skills over the last few weeks. They are tracking nicely for their exam to become lifeguards in November.

IRBs | there will soon be an opportunity to gain your IRB Crewpersons Module if you are interested, as well as work towards becoming an IRB Driver. Dean Winter is coordinating IRB maintenance and development in the club this year, so get in touch with him or Georgia if you are interested.

First Aid Qualifications | we are hosting a First Aid Level 1 course on 21/22 November. Numbers are limited, so get back to Deb if you have been offered a spot, otherwise this will be put out to other clubs in the area.
THANK YOU to everyone who continues to support our growing Nipper programme. We can't wait to see our Nippers out in force this weekend!

Surf Official Level 1 Award

There's more to the sport pathway than just being an athlete. If becoming a surf official is something you are interested in finding out more about, please get in touch with Deborah Donkin. You do not need to hold a SLGA to gain this qualification.

Surf Coaching

We are so fortunate to have a bunch of keen volunteer Nipper coaches who help us out on Sundays and during the week.

If you are interested in helping out with a group please let Carl know.
Titahi Bay Surf Life Saving Club is a fun organisation that serves the community and keeps beachgoers safe. We love seeing our competitors and lifeguards grow and develop, achieve their goals and prevent drownings at our beach

Whether you are a competing member, supportive parent, lifeguard, an ex member, a member who comes to train, coach, whoever you are - the reason we come to this wonderful beach and club is to enjoy the relationships that are formed between the people.
