Surf Lifeguard Award/Patrol Support Training
Awesome to see a great bunch of clubbies trucking along through this training - good luck to those on the exam this weekend. Thanks to the team of instructors led by our Chief Instructor Tayne McMahon who ensure that the candidates know everything they need to know.
Riversdale IRB Development Weekend
Well done Lochie Wesley-Smith, Christian and Steve Donkin who recently achieved their IRB Driver awards in some tough conditions over on the Wairarapa Coast. Thanks to everyone who was involved with the logistics, training and attending the x3 IRB Development Days in the lead up to the exams.
Mass Refresher
The Capital Coast Mass Refresher returns to Titahi Bay on Saturday 12 November. All Lifeguards, Patrol Support and IRB Drivers can attend to complete the necessary components of their annual refreshers, as well as sign up for the Rock Rescue Module and Board Rescue Module awards.
National Lifeguard School
Congratulations to Eli Jones, Ethan Jones and Mac Van Den Heuvel who have been selected to attend the 2022 National Lifeguard School at Waihi Beach. They will join lifeguards from around the country learning about some of the more difficult emergency situations lifeguards can face, including mass rescue scenarios, search and rescue operations, advanced rock rescues and complex first aid scenarios.
Patrol Roster
The volunteer patrol season starts on Sunday 27 November and will end on Sunday 5 March. Please click through to our 2022/2023 Patrol Roster Survey to answer some quick questions to help us create this seasons schedule. This also asks lifeguards who are not patrolling this season to return their uniforms.
Powercraft Officer
With J'Adoube heading South we welcome Warren Neal into the Powercraft Officer role - he heads up all things IRB's, maintenance and operations so track him down if you have any questions or concerns.

Benestar is the counselling and wellbeing provider for SLSNZ, providing fully funded counselling and wellbeing resources to all active current members and their immediate families. Benestar have counsellors throughout New Zealand who can be selected and booked online by the user. More information is available at the following link:

Craft Area
Training is on Tuesday & Thursday at 5:30pm and Sunday at 10:30am. Make contact with Nic Rhodes-Grennell or Glen Jones (Jonesy) if you want to get involved in this area.
Surf Boats
The crews have now been selected and training with their sweeps.
Congratulations to Sam, Rosie and Tracey who attended a sweep school up in Orewa a couple of weekends ago. Get in contact with Tim if you need more info or want to be involved in this area.

NIPPERS KICKS OFF THIS SUNDAY (30th October)
We have about 160 kids about to hit the beach. Welcome to all new families that will be joining TBSLSC family this year and a big welcome home to those who are returning.
A big thanks to all those people that assist Scott to make Nippers possible.
We have all the coaches sorted but always can do with extra people in the water keeping it fun and H&S compliant. Don't be shy putting your wetsuit on and help us keep Titahi Bay's Nippers program the "Best in the Capital Coast".
