Hi Clubbies

Hello and welcome to the first newsletter of the 2014/2015 season. Although the season is yet to officially kick off (and summer, at times, seems nowhere in sight) there has been plenty happening around the club to share.
The club held its AGM at the end of July and the committee was elected - it is as follows:

Subscriptions and memberships were another topic discussed at the AGM. Please find listed below the membership categories for the upcoming season. 

    $45      Nipper (7-13 years)
    $50      Associate Member
    $100    Junior Member/Lifeguard (14-18 years)
    $100    Senior Lifeguard (19 years and over)
    $185    Senior Competitive Member/Lifeguard (NB: Entry fees may be additional)
The club has introduced a new Membership Category this season – Senior Lifeguard. This is for Senior members who only want to patrol (and not have access to club/competition gear).

Subscriptions for 2014/15 season are due no later than the 28th September 2014. Please get in contact with Suzette McVicar if you need to arrange alternate payment plans.
Surf Lifeguard Award:
The first surf lifeguard award course of the season will be starting on Sunday 17th August at Titahi Bay Surf Life Saving Club.

The club is the proud owner of four brand new Concept rowing machines. These are training equipment for our surf sport athletes and are NOT child friendly. If you see children on them please remind them and their parents that they need to keep off.

Capital Coast Awards:
Congratulations to the following club members for their prizes at the recent Capital Coast awards.

Junior Surf Zone:
It’s looking like our junior surf program is going to be bigger than ever this season with a significant waitlist continuing to grow! Remember that the brothers and sisters of our existing Nippers get priority so get in touch with Rachel if you have children wanting to join their sibling on the beach this season,
