*Nippers CANCELLED Sunday 13 November due to water conditions*

Feel free to pop into the club at normal Nipper time to sign up for the carnival next week and purchase merchandise.

Sunday Nipper training started up again on Sunday 30 October and it was fantastic to see the beach packed with new and returning Nippers! Thanks to all of the volunteers who joined us either on the beach, in the water or in the kitchen - we couldn't do it without your help!

Pipi's | Our Pipi programme is running again this year for the younger siblings of our junior surf members and is a lot of fun! Register your interest with our Nipper Coordinators.

In the Spotlight | Lizzy Bunckenburg

Day Job: Endocrine and Diabetes Nurse
Dream Job: Multi Sport/Adventure Racer
Favourite NZ beach? Oakura, New Plymouth
What got you started is SLS, how many years have you been involved? In 2004  we were swimming with the McDowell's at Porirua swimming club when Margaret suggested we come along to the club, 12 years later still love it!
Surf Lifesaving highlight? Nationals 2009 - challenging surf, good results and overall the club did really well. A great weekend away.
What is the best advice you have been given? Everyone has the same amount of time in a day, it's up to you how you use it" - Steve Gurney
Something people might not know about you? I'm definitely taller than my twin sister Kathryn.
Looking forward to this season? Decent surf :) I'm looking forward to being involved in a great club of people. Assisting with the junior surf coaching and creating an exciting and fun training environment, while helping the athletes challenge themselves, overcome fears and achieve their goals.

Subs | Subs for senior and associate members are still open and we encourage people to pay these as soon as possible.
