Heritage Skills Training at Brancepeth Castle
The Trustees of Brancepeth Castle are offering the opportunity to attend two free skill training sessions at the Caste on Thursday 26th April, where you will be able to join in practical sessions on repairs to the medieval curtain walling rubble stonework and traditional roof work. 20 places available for each session. Turning the Wheels for the Future - Warwick Bridge Corn Mill, Carlisle
NECT is in the process of restoring and bringing back into use this historic corn mill just outside Carlisle. Alongside the physical building repairs and the reinstatement of the milling machinery, waterwheel and associated machinery we are still recruiting for an an Engagement and Volunteering Co-ordinator. Brief outline of duties as follows|:
Engagement & Volunteering Co-ordinator
The development and delivery of the community outreach, education and volunteer opportunities as outlined in the Activity Plan, Action Plan of the ‘Turning the Wheels for the Future’ project in the Warwick Bridge/Carlisle/Brampton local community and educational establishments, volunteers and other interest groups. It involves working with NECT during the project development stage and then the mill tenant in the formative early stages of operation.
