If you are a Patient Portal user and you create new patient accounts in Practice Manager by clicking N and enter, you will be forced to authorize that patient on the patient portal a 2nd time when the temporary patient account is converted to a permanent account. We recommend that you enter new patient accounts with permanent account numbers for this reason.
Notice About Entering New Patient Accounts
In version 5.2 a change was made so that a temporary (NEW) patient account number will retain the patient portal status when it is converted to a permanent account number.
