There are always opportunities out there that you should apply to but sometimes it's hard to keep track of them. Well look no further. This newsletter is a concise menu of exhibitions, calls-for-entries and grants that should be on your radar. So get your portfolios ready and get your work out there!

Beyond the Precious is an exhibition curated by the Vancouver Metal Arts Association (VMAA), which is representing about twenty jewellery artists and sculptors.

OPENING: Thurs Sept 18th from 6 - 8pm.
LOCATION: Port Moody Arts Centre, Vancouver BC
CALL FOR ENTRY - Jewellery Fair

The Jewelry Fair Autor is being held in Bucharest, Romania and basically anyone producing, teaching or representing contemporary jewellery can apply. The deadline is NEXT SATURDAY, so if this is something that you would be interested in, get on it!

DEADLINE: Sept 20th

AJF is providing an opportunity for makers of wearable art jewellery under the age of 35, who are out of school, to apply for an unrestricted cash award of $7500. Let that sink in. Now, gather your portfolio and apply.

DEADLINE: midnight Sept 30th 

Crafthaus is awarding a member with a micro project grant of $500 USD. It doesn't matter what your professional background is or where you live, they just want to assist personal or group projects. So if you have a great idea and need a little help, it's worth a shot.

CALL FOR ENTRY - Exhibition

This years Exhibition in Print is based on illusion and a sense of wonder, so make your pieces a spectacle because the deadline has been extended!

CALL FOR ENTRY - Book Publishing

Cast is a book being published by Schiffer Publishing, so if you do interesting things with this technique (both sculptural and functional), in any and all materials that can be cast - send in your images.

CALL FOR ENTRY: Exhibition

Crafthaus is putting together a travelling exhibition and they're looking for jewellers and metalsmiths to "form a two-person working partnership". They ask that each pairing consist of two evident and diverse approaches to their work, so find a fellow metal worker who you think is great and get collaborating!

DEADLINE: Feb 15, 2015
