We're so pleased you’ve decided to take part in the New to the Netherlands initiative. And it’s fantastic that you are willing to look for a newly-arrived refugee. Together, the two of you will help this initiative succeed.
What next?
The idea is that you will be the one to track down a newcomer to join you in the project. We’ve put together an article with a number of
tips to help you, and a few other things to keep in mind when speaking with a refugee.
To make it easier to share with others, the call for the project is available in
Dutch,
English, and
Arabic. In addition, we've provided some advice for both you and your conversation partner. This, too, is available in
Dutch,
English, and
Arabic.
Don’t forget to join the project’s
Facebook group. It’s a place to share your experiences with other members who are taking part in the initiative, as well as other ways of making contact with refugees.
And last, but most certainly not least: Have you already found a partner yet for New to the Netherlands? Then click
here to complete the signup form together.
Because we’d like to get started quickly, we’re giving you until Thursday, October 20 to find a refugee with a residence permit and to fill out the signup form together. The questions are also available in English and Arabic.
Best of luck! And if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email us at nieuwinnederland@decorrespondent.nl.
