Moderator Addresses Mass Shooting in Nova Scotia
Following the news of the tragic mass shooting in Portapique, Nova Scotia, on April 18, the Moderator, the Rev. Amanda Currie, issued a special message extending her prayers for the people of Portapique, the emergency personnel who put themselves at risk to end the violence, and the ministers and churches of Nova Scotia as they minister to the hurting people of their communities.

Innovation Grants for Faith Formation and
Public Witness
Congregations and ministries have adapted quickly and in amazing ways to changing circumstances.

To encourage congregations and ministries to foster innovation and exercise adaptability in the areas of discipleship, faith sharing and community programs, the Life and Mission Agency is offering innovation grants of $1,000 to congregations and ministries that qualify.

The criteria guidelines and application form are available on the Grants web page. Applications will be considered on an ongoing basis until June 15, 2020.
