September E-News: World Food Day, Annual Resources
View this email in your browser

Over the last ten years, significant gains have been made in reducing the number of hungry people in the world. But still, one in nine people do not have enough to eat.
On World Food Day—October 16—we raise awareness of global hunger and take action to ensure nutritious food can be available for all. PWS&D works with Canadian Foodgrains Bank and our partners overseas to help farmers and their families in developing countries overcome hunger.
Join PWS&D in the movement to end hunger! Learn about the issue, pray, and advocate for change with World Food Day worship resources, a bulletin insert, a video and more information, found here.
St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (Toronto, ON) will be hosting a special World Food Day event on October 16. More information will follow on our website as it becomes available.

Use the PWS&D annual report, Advent and Lent liturgies, bulletin covers, posters and more to engage and educate your congregation about the ways our church is helping serve people in need around the world.
Order your PWS&D resources on our website by using the online order form. You may also call Church Customer Service at 1-800-263-2664 or email to place your resource order.

Walking for the First Time in Malawi
Due to medical complications, both Callista and Timothy are unable to walk and their families unable to afford mobility equipment. Now they are walking tall for the first time—and it is the generous support of Presbyterians that helped make this possible. Read their heart-warming story.
