New Advocacy Resource from the PCC
A letter-writing resource is now available to help individuals and churches engage in advocacy on six important social issues The Presbyterian Church in Canada has endorsed as part of its participation in God’s mission in the world. These social issues include responding to the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls’ Calls for Justice, breaking cycles of violence, and advocating for the just treatment of Palestinian children, the rights of migrant workers in Canada, climate justice, and global vaccine equity.
To help individuals and churches reflect on and respond effectively to these social issues, a brief description is provided for each, along with a link to the original letter the church sent in response, and a letter template and prayer that can be adapted and used.
