Often, wines that taste better on their own, and those that score well in competitions, seem to be a different breed altogether from those that go best with a meal.
Hosted by Huon Hooke, this dinner focuses on what we feel are exceptionally food-friendly wines, such as the Italian grapes sangiovese and nebbiolo, and the whites semillon and riesling, with appropriate dishes.
It will be held at 6 HEAD, located at Campbell’s Cove in The Rocks, overlooking iconic Sydney Harbour. We’ll investigate why some wines are more food-friendly than others.
