Dear Wine Lover,
France’s Burgundy region fascinates wine lovers the world over but soaring prices and scarcity are obstacles to most mortals enjoying its wines.
New World regions, such as Victoria, are stepping in to provide alternatives for high-quality pinot noir and chardonnay. Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Geelong and Beechworth are the regions we have chosen to take the fight up to Burgundy. They’re not pretending to be Burgundy, but they are superb wines that offer great value by comparison.
Victoria’s take on Burgundy will be presented by Huon Hooke and matched to a four-course dinner.
