CUSHINGS DISEASE RESEARCH PROJECT
The University of Melbourne is seeking horse owners for a survey on equine Cushing's disease (PPID), an important and common condition in older horses and ponies linked to a range of other problems such as laminitis.

A major international project is underway to improve our understanding and knowledge of the fundamental causes of the condition, in order to improve the early diagnosis, treatment, husbandry and nutritional management.

This online survey (taking approximately 15 to 20 minutes) is designed for horse owners, to better understand how they manage horses or ponies with PPID, and what the important factors are for them (ability to feed separately; cost of medications etc).

The results from this survey will provide valuable information which will contribute to improved targeted education of the horse owning public, to improve health outcomes for these animals in terms of the early recognition of signs, the most appropriate treatment, management and nutrition. Take the survey here→ go.unimelb.edu.au/r22i
