Its been a busy start to 2013 at Willow House. As well as successfully recruiting a new member of the team, and agreeing with the landlord to double the size of our office, we are pleased to report that we filled 99.3%* of our client's self assessment tax returns by the 31st January deadline. But we've still got lots to tell you about:

In case you missed it last time,we're entering everyone who refers a client to us by Valentine's Day into a draw to win an iPad mini. If you want to be in with a shout of winning the latest iPad, you need to submit your referrals via the website by 14th February. We have had an excellent response so far and are looking forward to writing out many, many referral cheques in the weeks and months to come.

Announcing the launch of the Just One Week project

BroomeAffinity is helping the charitable and voluntary sectors by committing one week each year of each and every team members’ time sweat and dedication.

Our team is made up of busy professionals with busy lives outside of the office so being able to help out good causes isn’t always possible. That’s why we've launched the Just One Week Project, where all team members are encouraged to give up to one week of their time each year to help out in local charities and community initiatives.

Some may choose to put their business skills to good use by working of the finances of a local charity while others might want to help build a new community resource. But, whether it’s a couple of hours a week to go and do the local meals on wheels or a week off to climb Kilimanjaro, the Broome Affinity team are encouraged to make a difference to their local communities.


Secure client area now online

The more eagle-eyed of you will have noticed a slight change to the homepage: In the top right corner, there is a place where you can enter your email address and password. In our unending noble quest to improve the service we provide to our contractor clients, we've decided to roll out an online communication tool to out clients. Within the client area, you'll be able to upload your spreadsheets, bank statements and summaries and you'll be able to access your current and historical monthly reports, VAT returns, company statutory books, annual accounts etc. We are also working with xero.com to develop a system where you can access all of your financial information on a "dashboard". You'll also very soon be able to upload your banking transactions automatically without the need to download them first.

Last thing: We've been busy making a lot of changes to the website recently. It's jam packed with information and resources, and we'll be continually improving it over the next days, weeks, months. But the website's for you, not us, so if there's anything you want done to it let us know.
