MEMBER-OWNER & AMBASSADOR MISSION
It's up to YOU to get TWO!

As a co-op member-owner, each of us has the opportunity to share our knowledge and excitement about the great things a co-op will do for the community. We have set a goal of reaching 300 member-owners by March 31. Why?
  • At 300 member-owners the HGC can begin the commissioning of a market analysis that will define details such as store size and identify possible and optimal locations.
  • Then, at 600 member-owners, the commissioning of a full, detailed business start-up plan can begin. This report will become the roadmap for the HGC to open, operate and flourish and guides the management for the first five years of operation.
Already a member-owner? Thank you being an ambassador for the co-op!

Not yet a member-owner? Consider becoming a one by March 31 and being part of building the foundation for the co-op.

Co-op talking points, membership information and more co-op news can all be found on our website.

Family farms nourish the world
The United Nations has declared 2014 as the International Year of the Family Farm (IYFF). There are over 500 million family farms in the world. In Wisconsin there are approximately 76,032 family farms, and in St. Croix County there are approximately 1,600 family farms.

IYFF aims to raise the profile of family farming and smallholder farming by focusing world attention on its significant role in eradicating hunger and poverty, providing food security and nutrition, improving livelihoods, managing natural resources, protecting the environment, and achieving sustainable development, in particular in rural areas.
