June 2014

7 new owners joined the Hudson Grocery Cooperative during the last week of May.  That’s a new owner each day!  Let’s keep the ball rolling!  Some co-op owners joined after seeing the trifold brochures in downtown businesses.   Some people joined at the Second Annual Spring Party.   Most current co-op owners joined because one of their friends asked them to!

As an owner of Hudson Grocery Cooperative, you feel proud to be a part of the movement to support local farmers and strengthen the Hudson community.  Plus, thanks to HGC’s reciprocity agreement with River Market Community Co-op in Stillwater, you can begin to enjoy the benefits of co-op ownership immediately.   Please, take a few minutes to share your enthusiasm with others!  Together, we can grow a co-op!

Can you encourage one person to join this month?
Send an email!
Emails are quick and convenient and can include a link to take your friends directly to the co-op website.
Talk with your neighbors!
Early summer is a great time to catch up with those folks you haven’t seen all winter.  When the conversation turns to food, take a moment to introduce the co-op!
Share the co-op’s Facebook page!
Social media is a great way to generate enthusiasm for this project.  Invite your friends to “like” the co-op’s Facebook page!

This means that HGC owners receive the Owner Specials sale price on any deal running that day, shoppers 60 years and older receive 10% off on Tuesdays, and wellness items are 10% off on Wednesday.

Not only can you find high-quality, local products and support a community-focused, locally owned business, you can get a great deal!

Visit RiverMarket.Coop to find out what local products are available today, browse the current specials, and read information on the exciting store remodel.

So, HGC owners!  Head up to Stillwater and start reaping the benefits of co-op ownership immediately!  Just tell the cashier that you are an owner of Hudson Grocery Co-op when you check out.  And be sure to thank River Market for this awesome benefit!
