EF (Education First) Course Internship

Hello, my name is Olga. I have been the Social Media intern for Lost Boyz Inc. for one month. I am originally from Russia, and am currently a student in the EF Chicago program. I have gained valuable experience, and even more amazing memories working with Lost Boyz Inc. Some of my best times was at the White Sox game.

I will always remember Lost Boyz Inc. for the skills and hands-on experience that will hopefully lead to further opportunities down the road. I am truly thankful to have been a part of such a hard-working, dedicated and humble staff. I learned a lot about myself by closely looking at my surroundings. I owe a debt of gratitude to Lost Boyz Inc. for their contribution to my personal and overall well-being and success.

May Highlights

Below are some of the highlights from last month. May was a very busy month for Lost Boyz. Our Patriots had many games and we are always looking forward to the best results.
  • Team's games. Our team worked extremely hard the past month. You can see a few photos from one of team's games here.
  • Chicago Non-Profit Fair. On Monday, May 20th, Lost Boyz Inc. attended its first fair. At the Chicago Non-Profit Fair, Lost Boyz Inc. was able to meet potential volunteers and other Chicago non-profit organizations. This annual event featured one hundred Chicagoland non-profit organizations, and three-hundred young professionals looking to get engaged with Chicago's thriving non-profit community.
  • Tree Tagging at Ashe Park. Our purpose for this event was to acclimate the youth with environmental activities centered on tree care. Our youth identified the various types of trees located in Ashe Park, on Chicago's far South side. After identifying the tree types, the trunk diameter was measured; the tree was then labeled with a large tag, and the data recorded for the National Arboretum database.
