We hope you had a great weekend (you can still ask that on Tuesday, right?) and relaxed a bit more than we did! We signed up for a crazy road trip from London to Paris with the Budget Traveller and Eurotunnel (not Eurostar like we said in the last newsletter -oops) to check out Saint-Denis and Paris ahead of the UEFA Euro 2016 Football Championship.
We really recommend that if you're driving to Paris, you take much more time than we did. On Friday night, we left at 1PM and arrived around 11PM and got back on Sunday night midnight. In between, we (read: Nick) drove over 12 hours and 450 km (280 miles) + also walked roughly 20 km (13 miles) on both Saturday as Sunday to see everything we wanted to include in our guide for Football lovers. Yup, a bit too ambitious!
But we did end up with some great views over Paris from the Sacré-Cœur, saw the Eiffel Tower, ate Macarons and discovered an amazing castle just 45 minutes North of Paris.
Make sure to check out Kash's blog Budget Traveller this week for our full story. For now, have a great rest of your week. And fingers crossed for a bit more sun!
